A place where I can post my thoughts and reflections, share resources and ideas and ask questions... also refer back to these sites regularly!
I have referenced and given full credit to all the sites and links that I have found.
You don't need to ask me twice about Facebook. It would be much cheaper and less stressful to maintain than the current school website. Information could be uploaded instantly and more regularly.
Parents and children often have their own or family facebook pages and it would make things easier if all they had to do was go through facebook (& most families sign in to facebook at least once or twice a week) to find out updates etc rather than open the school website and learn to navigate around that when in fact they already know how to navigate around facebook.
There are security settings that can be enabled to ensure information is only shared with the correct audience and filtered.
How good would it be to put a status update on facebook that "cross country has been postponed to Friday due to bad weather". Not every parent would get it but most can subscribe to our updates on facebook so they will receive a text or can use the facebook app on their smartphones to check. Would make things in the office easier & we wouldn't have to try and call all our parent help at 8.55am.
